Tori and Sander, First Dance

When I first arrived to paint at Tori and Sander’s reception at Rosemary Beach, I immediately noticed the so-very-fabulous decor. The coordinator had me set up near the band so that I could have a clear view of the checkered dance floor. I painted the flowers in the foreground and the chandeliers overhead first, to set the scene. As it progressed, I knew where I would place the lovely couple and I painted a quick study of their First Dance on a small canvas, opting to wait until back in the studio to place them in the painting.
