Hatshepsut’s Daughter

Drawing from a live model is a challenge that I find exciting, usually leaving any drawing session feeling exhilarated. This drawing was only half complete during the live model session, the hair completely undrawn. It was fun to remember and try to duplicate the texture from memory. This young woman seemed to me to have regal features and bearing, so I imagined her to be the daughter of the only female pharaoh, Hatshepsut.
